Training Opportunities 2010

Saturday 8 May: International Discipleship training day, Bournemouth

Join us for an exciting and innovative training day focussing on preparing students to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ when they return home. For further information click here or email Stanton.

24-25 May 2010: Annual CBISW conference
St Andrew's (near St Helen's Bishopsgate), London

The annual Church-based International Student Workers Conference is designed for those who have a role in coordinating/leading an international student work within a church (not necessarily full-time), to address the specific questions we face in that setting. Our theme this year is 'Applying God’s Word to God’s World,' and we will be thinking about this issue of contextualisation. Speakers include Suresh Menon (Associate Minister, St Ebbe’s Church, Oxford) and Geoff Low (Philip Project, Friends International). For further conference details contact Ramzi Adcock. To book a place (£15, including lunch on both days) contact Rose Kelland.

18-20 June 2010: Transforming the mind
Dovedale House, Derbyshire

Registration is now open for the 8th Annual 'Transforming the Mind' Postgraduate Conference! The theme is 'Transforming the Mind: Captivating Thoughts,' with speakers Alistair McGraith and Edith Reitsema. For further information, please download the leaflet and registration form, or visit www.christianpostgrad.org.uk.

3 July 2010: Preparing students for the return
Chinese Church in London (Hammersmith)

Join us on this training day for those involved in international student ministry, as we consider issues relating to how we prepare students for their return home. Spaces are very limited, so book early! Contact Mabel Liew for further details and booking information.
