It is estimated that every year there are up to one million
international students in the UK! The statistics below offer a breakdown
of this figure.
Higher Education
How many international students are there in Higher Education?
In 2004/5, there were 318,395 international students in UK Higher
Education.
In 2007/8 this had increased to 341,795 international students in
UK Higher Education.
These figures do not include international students in further
education, those studying at the hundreds of language schools in
the UK or visiting academics. It has been estimated that when you
include these categories, the number leaps up to an incredible one
million international students.
